MINUTES OF THE DULY CONVENED MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL OF CHALFONT ST PETER HELD IN THE COMMUNITY CENTRE, CHALFONT ST PETER, ON MONDAY 25th JULY 2005 AT 8 P.M.

31 TO ACCEPT APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies were received from Cllr A Moffat, Cllr J Banham, Cllr J Warder and the Clerk

32 DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
None were received.

33 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
Minutes of the last meeting held on 20th June 2005, were considered and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

34 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE LAST MINUTES

35 CHAIRMAN’S ANNOUNCEMENTS
• The chairman pointed out that after reading documents from CDC, Chesham was the only town which had received quality status in the Chitern District. Hence this infers that Chalfont St Peter Parish Council had made the right decision not to spend money on becoming a quality parish at the present time.
• Budgens Funday is on Sunday 7th August 12.00 - 4.00pm in the car park.

• Denham Aerodrome Consultative Committee Minutes - Noted.

Reports and recommendations were proposed and accepted.

27/6/05 CDC –Building regulation fee for new premises – 972.91 signed by Cllr Palmer and Cllr Mrs Smith.
5/7/05 M Creed – salary for May and June due to Bank’s mistake with Standing Order – 693.34 signed by Cllr Mrs Smith and Cllr Horne.

The following accounts were examined and, upon being found in order, cheques were signed on the proposition of Cllr Darby, seconded by Cllr Smith.

Cllr Darby and Cllr Smith signed the direct debit for the Electricity supply for the new premises.

39 TO APPROVE THE STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS FOR THE EXTERNAL AUDITOR
The Statement of Accounts were considered and approved by Council.

40 NOTICE OF TRANSFER OF LICENSES
The Greyhound Inn - Noted.

41 TO REPORT THE RESULTS OF THE BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION
Best Kept Village 2005 - Chalfont St Peter has won the Pushman Cup for 2005. Councillors would like to record their appreciation to the three Haywardens and the Clerk for all their efforts
towards the competition. The presentation evening would be on the 24th September 2005.

The Chairman proposed that the STAFF receive a bonus up to a £100.00 each. This was seconded and agreed unanimously.

INFORMATION ITEMS

42 Cllr Bacon informed the meeting that Area 10 had been put back and now looking at a completion date in 2010.

43 Cllr B Allen asked the Chairman if the meeting could be kept informed regarding the progress of the new premises. The Chairman informed meeting that the building plans had gone out to tender and should be back by the 15 August 2005.

44 NSE INQUIRY
Cllr Palmer reported that he and Cllr Mrs Smith had attended most days of the Inquiry. Cllr Palmer was disappointed that Bucks C.C. had already negotiated with the NSE Developers and had reached an outline agreement regarding roads and education if the planning application was approved.
