MINUTES OF THE DULY CONVENED MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL OF CHALFONT ST PETER HELD IN THE COMMUNITY CENTRE, CHALFONT ST PETER, ON MONDAY 29th NOVEMBER, 2004 AT 8 P.M.

98 DEMOCRATIC QUARTER OF AN HOUR
The Youth Member of Parliament, Jeremy Moses, gave a presentation to explain his role. He works at a local, regional and national levels. On a national level he produces manifestos for the attention of Government

107 TO CONSIDER NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER OF OR NEW LICENSE
• Flowers Unique – new license – too late for the last hearing so had to resubmit – Noted.
• Waggon and Horses – transfer of License – Noted.

108 TO AGREE A DATE FOR AN ADDITIONAL POLICY AND FINANCE MEETING TO FINALISE THE PRECEPT FOR 2005-6
A provisional date was agreed for the 13th December, 2004, prior to the Amenities and Planning meeting if all information is available by then.

INFORMATION ITEMS

93 AREA 10 SPEED REVIEW
Cllr Mrs Bacon, who is part of this review panel, reported that 15 hotspots are being investigated in Area 10. Those concerning Chalfont St Peter are:-
• Gravel Hill changing the speed from 30 to 40 mph.
• Rickmansworth Lane – extending the 30mph speed limit.
• Chesham Lane and Denham – extending the 30mph speed limit.
The Speed Review panel will carry out formal consultation with the parish councils concerned but it was agreed that it may beneficial to make some comments before that stage. This matter was referred to the next Amenities and Planning Committee meeting for consideration.


94 CHURCH LANE CAR PARK
Cllr Nowell reported that there were several lights not working. The Clerk will report this to CDC.

95 CPRE
Cllr Adams reported that the AGMof the local branch if CPRE will take place on 30th October, 2004 at the United Reform Church in Beaconsfield.

96 PARISH COUNCIL SIGN
Cllr Moffat informed members that the sign outside the Community Centre publicising the Parish Council Office looks shabby and needs revamping. This matter was referred to the next Open Spaces Meeting for consideration.


No other business being raised, the meeting closed at 9.05p.m.
