2010-05-10 : Amenities & Planning

In Attendance:   Cllr J Hatton, Cllr G Heath, Cllr Wertheim  and Mrs Wilson  (Admin Assistant)

179A    Declaration of interests

 

Cllr Mrs Brooke declared a non-pecuniary interest in planning application Nos. CH/2010/0446/FA and CH/2010/0625/FA..

                Cllr B  Allen declared a non-pecuniary interest in planning application No. CH/2010/0469/FAE.

Cllr J Hatton and Cllr Mrs Darby declared a non-pecuniary interest in planning application No. CH/2010/0571/FA.

 

180A    To approve Minutes of Committee Meeting held on 19 April 2010.

             The minutes were approved as a true record and signed by the Chairman.

 

181A    Review Action Points from Minutes of 19 April 2010.

 

(173A) Letter from Leigh  (Electrical) Contractors dated 18 January 2010 – Committee agreed to ask    Clerk to do a simplified  tender document and obtain 3 quotes and discuss further at Finance Committee – Clerk dealing with this.

 

(173A) Replacement street lights Chalfont Common and Lower Road – Clerk to chase as a matter of urgency and ask to be done within one month – reply received from Kevin Allen – Clerk to chase.  

 

(173A) Clerk to ask if there were any outstanding works or costs – Clerk to chase Bucks County Council with reminder email as no invoices had been received for months. Cllr Beane offered to discuss with Clerk.

 

(173A) Letter to be sent to person who knocked down lamp post in Chalfont Common asking for their    insurance details – letter sent – no response therefore reminder letter to be sent.  If no further response received matter to be referred to a Solicitor. 

 

(173A) No Door Step Selling Zone sign in Austenwood Close - The Parish Council do not normally withhold permission for these signs but Clerk asked if they could see a design of the sign – email sent.  No response – further email to be sent.   

182A     Correspondence –

·      Update on Local Area Priorities Process – Noted

 

·      Area Planning Priorities – Appendix A - Noted

 

·          Chalfonts Local Area Planning- Group Prioritisation – Noted

 

·          Letter dated 22 April from Kirkby & Diamond re “ Is your Community affected by Development”. Noted

               

·          Email from ACHC Chairman re Newlands Park Development – Noted

 

·          Letters dated 21 and 22 April re Making Good of Grange Road surface following completion of New Holy Cross Convent – to be forwarded to Chiltern District Council to interject on behalf of residents.

 

183A   Licences –

 

George Inn Public House - Premises Licence - New application for alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment. This application is a carbon copy of the permission that the George held prior to the previous licence lapsing due to insolvency – Committee felt already in a saturation area.  

 

Cllr Mrs Darby and Cllr Wertheim joined the meeting at 8 pm.

 

184 Enforcement Referrals List –

Alleged breach of planning control: Importation of hardcore at Capshield Field, Land south of West Hyde Lane, Chalfont St Peter - Tracey Francis, Principal Planning Officer, Enforcement – to be asked to have another look at this site.

Cllr Adams queried  the current rules for drive ways.  If made of permeable material no planning permission needed but if non-permeable and involved dropped kerb then planning permission would be required.

 

The meeting ended at 9.45 pm
